The Bangladesh Association of New Jersey (BANJ) is bringing a very secial celebration to the Bengali diaspora this year, marking the Bengali New Year with a grand cultural extravaganza titled “Probashey Borshoboron.” The event is set for Saturday, May 9, at 2 pm EST at Colts Neck High School, located at 59 Five Points Road, Colts Neck, New
Jersey, where thousands of Bangladeshi and Bengali community members are expected to gather for a day of culture, music and festivity.
At the heart of the celebration will be a Boishakhi Mela and Pitha Festival, bringing together the tastes, crafts and colors of traditional Bengali culture. From the beloved flavours of homemade pithas to a vibrant display of handicrafts and heritage, the event promises to bring a little piece of Bangladesh to life right here on American soil. The evening’s musical highlight will be a live performance by popular singer Ronti Das, whose captivating voice is sure to make the occasion truly unforgettable.
Tickets have been priced to accommodate everyone. VVIP front row seats are available at $100, VIP second and third row seats at $50, and general entry at just $20. Children under 15 years of age will be admitted completely free of charge. Organizers have noted that seating is limited and are encouraging attendees to collect their tickets as soon as possible.
