White Plains, New York l July 3-5, 2026
The 46th North American Bengali Conference (NABC) 2026, one of the largest annual gatherings of the Bengali diaspora in North America, was held from Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York.

Drawing thousands of attendees from the United States, Canada, India, and Bangladesh, the three‑day conference celebrated the rich traditions of Bengali language, literature, music, dance, theater, film, and visual arts. The annual convention continues to serve as an important platform for preserving Bengali heritage while strengthening cultural ties among Bengalis across North America.

Traditionally attended predominantly by Bengalis from West Bengal, India, this year’s conference also witnessed a remarkable and growing presence of the Bangladeshi‑American community. In a notable milestone, Bangladeshi‑American artists and cultural organizations from New York and New Jersey presented a series of outstanding performances throughout the convention, showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of Bangladesh alongside distinguished artists from West Bengal. Their participation reflected the increasing visibility and contributions of the Bangladeshi diaspora within the broader North American Bengali community.

The conference featured an impressive lineup of cultural programs, including theatrical productions, literary discussions, film screenings, dance performances, and live musical concerts—offering something for attendees of all generations.

A major highlight of the weekend was the Business Forum, held on the morning of Saturday, July 4. The forum brought together accomplished members of the Bengali diaspora and featured prominent business, diplomatic, and corporate leaders, including the Consul General of India in New York, Ambassador Binaya S. Pradhan, and former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi. The session focused on leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the growing impact of the Bengali diaspora in North America. Several other CEOs, business leaders, and Indian‑American corporate executives also participated, making it an inspiring and insightful gathering.

Throughout the holiday weekend, families, artists, writers, scholars, entrepreneurs, and community leaders came together to reconnect, exchange ideas, and celebrate their shared linguistic and cultural heritage at the Westchester County Center.
This year’s conference also recognized two significant American milestones by incorporating special programming celebrating Independence Day (July 4th) and the 250th Anniversary of the United States. These celebrations highlighted the pride Bengali Americans take in both their cultural heritage and their meaningful contributions to the diverse fabric of American society.
As another successful chapter in the history of NABC came to a close, the 2026 conference reaffirmed its role as a premier cultural event for Bengalis across North America. It also underscored the growing collaboration between the Indian Bengali and Bangladeshi‑American communities—celebrating a shared language, culture, and heritage while embracing the diversity that strengthens the global Bengali community.
