The appeal was made by Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, according to a statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and discussed the importance of maintaining stability in the Middle East.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said Islamabad emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only effective means of resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
