Deshi Tribune Desk: The Alliance of South Asian American Labor (ASAAL), Ozone Park Chapter organized an Iftar and Doa Mahfil along with the inauguration ceremony of its new committee in New York.
The event was held last Friday at Baithakhana Kitchen and Suites Restaurant on Liberty Avenue in Brooklyn.
ASAAL National President Md. Karim Chowdhury attended the program as the chief guest. ASAAL Founder and National President Emeritus Maf Misbah Uddin was also present at the event.
Among others present were Inauguration Committee Chairman ASM Mainuddin Pintu, Convener Atik Rahman, Member Secretary Mohammad Kamal Hossain, and Coordinator Shahnaz Hossain.
Leaders and members of the organization, including newly elected President Masud Rana Tapan and General Secretary Santanu Barua, also attended the program.
Members of the South Asian expatriate community participated in the Iftar gathering, highlighting the spiritual significance of the holy month of Ramadan. Special prayers were offered for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the community.
