Human Concern USA, Prothom Alo Foundation USA, and Save the People to Host Eid Food Distribution in Jamaica, Queens

In a continued effort to support vulnerable families and spread the spirit of Eid, Human Concern USA, in collaboration with Prothom Alo Foundation USA and Save the People, will organize a large-scale Eid Food Distribution program in Jamaica, Queens this month.

The community-focused initiative is scheduled to take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at Elhaam Academy, located at 87-41, 165th Street, Jamaica, New York 11432.

Organizers say the program is designed to provide essential food supplies to underserved and low-income families ahead of Eid, ensuring that community members facing economic hardship can celebrate the holiday with dignity and joy.

The distribution will operate on a first come, first served basis, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early. Volunteers from the three organizations will distribute food packages containing essential grocery items and Eid necessities to eligible families.

Community leaders involved in the initiative say the program reflects a shared commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility.

“This is more than a food distribution—it is about standing beside our neighbors, sharing compassion, and making sure no family feels forgotten during a time of celebration,” an organizer said.

The event also highlights growing collaboration among nonprofit and community organizations serving New York’s diverse immigrant communities. Prothom Alo Foundation USA, known for its advocacy and community service initiatives, has increasingly partnered with grassroots organizations to address food insecurity, social support, and
immigrant needs.

Human Concern USA and Save the People have also been actively involved in charitable outreach programs, including emergency food support, youth engagement, and humanitarian aid efforts across the city.

Organizers are calling on community members, local leaders, and volunteers to support the initiative and help make the Eid Food Distribution a success.

For many families in Queens, this event is expected to bring not only much-needed food assistance, but also a message of hope, solidarity, and community care during the Eid season.
