DHAKA — The capital city witnessed a vibrant fusion of sports and high fashion as the “Dhaka Football Fiesta” took center stage, fueling the pre-World Cup excitement across the nation. The event, held to celebrate the upcoming global football spectacle, saw a star-studded lineup of top models and sports icons coming together in a unique tribute to the beautiful game.
A Fusion of Fashion and Football
The highlight of the evening was a dynamic fashion show choreographed by Syed Ruma. Popular models, including Sadia Shabnaz Emi, Rakhi, Alisha, Dilruba Doel, Angel De Costa, and Asif Ahmed, walked the runway donning jerseys from World Cup favorites, including Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, and Germany. The vibrant lights, energetic music, and cheering crowd transformed the venue into a football-themed carnival.
Prominent Figures and Future Aspirations
The event was graced by the presence of State Minister for Youth and Sports, Aminul Haque, along with national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan, goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico, and emerging talent Morsalin. Representing multiple generations of Bangladeshi football, these icons shared their collective dream of one day seeing the “Red and Green” of Bangladesh represented on the ultimate stage of the FIFA World Cup.
Nationwide Fan Zones Announced
Co-organized by House and Athlete Sports Gear with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event also marked the announcement of a major initiative: the establishment of 13 “Fan Zones” across the country.
These dedicated spaces are designed to host fans throughout the World Cup, featuring:
Large-screen match screenings.
Food courts and gaming zones.
Jersey festivals and interactive community activities.
