A vibrant Bengali New Year celebration is set to take place in New York, organized by members of the Bangladeshi diaspora. The event will be held on Sunday, April 12, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Queensborough Performing Arts Center (QPAC) in Queens.
The program is being organized by Anondodhoni Inc. New York, with support from Queens Social Adult Day Care Center Inc. Organizers say the primary goal of the event is to showcase Bangladeshi culture and traditions in celebration of the Bengali New Year.
Renowned artist Dr. Sejan Mahmud will be the main attraction of the অনুষ্ঠান, offering musical performances along with presentations highlighting various aspects of Bengali culture. The program will feature songs, instrumental performances, and a range of cultural
showcases reflecting Bengali heritage.
Organizers have announced that the event is open to all and admission is completely free. Ample parking will be available for attendees, and the venue is also easily accessible via public transportation.
The event will be broadcast live on TBN24. Organizers hope that the celebration will spread the joy of the Bengali New Year among the Bangladeshi community in New York and help connect the younger generation with their cultural roots.
