FIFA will introduce a historic new tradition at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final by awarding special championship rings to the winning team for the first time in the tournament’s history.
The 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup will conclude with the final between Argentina and Spain on Sunday, July 19, at New York New Jersey Stadium. In addition to the iconic World Cup trophy and gold medals, the champions will receive custom-made championship rings—a first for any FIFA competition.
A total of 2,026 rings have been produced to commemorate the 2026 World Cup. Thirty rings will be reserved for the winning players and team representatives, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to fans worldwide as officially licensed memorabilia.
Each ring will feature the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side and a design representing the champion team on the other. Every ring will be individually numbered, custom-made to fit its recipient’s finger, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Immediately after the final, the winning captain and head coach will receive temporary commemorative rings before the personalized versions are produced and formally presented at a later date.
