Iran’s Supreme Leader “Mojtaba Khamenei” has accused the United States of repeatedly violating agreements signed between the presidents of Iran and the U.S., claiming this proves that “President Donald Trump’s signature carries no credibility or value”.
According to Anadolu Agency, Khamenei made the remarks in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, July 18.
Criticism of the United States
Khamenei said the United States had repeatedly breached the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two countries’ presidents.
“By repeatedly violating the agreement signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States, America has once again demonstrated that the signature of the U.S. president has neither value nor credibility,” he wrote.
He further accused Washington of pursuing policies based on:
* Coercion
* Hegemony
* Brutality
According to Khamenei, these principles have become an inseparable part of U.S. foreign policy.
Warning to Washington
Khamenei warned that if the United States escalates the conflict further, it will face even greater costs and greater humiliation.
He also claimed that the Iranian people and the so-called **”Axis of Resistance”** would teach the United States “a lesson it will never forget.”
Call for National Unity
The Iranian leader stressed that maintaining national unity is now the country’s top priority.
He said preserving solidarity among the public and all levels of government is essential to protecting Iran’s dignity and independence against what he described as a “criminal and deceitful American enemy.”
Khamenei also praised what he called the bravery of Iranian fighters in southern Iran and the resilience of ordinary citizens during recent tensions.
President Pezeshkian Echoes the Message
Iranian President **Masoud Pezeshkian** also called for national unity in a separate post on X.
He wrote that maintaining unity while avoiding political divisions is the key to overcoming the current crisis.
Iran Suspends Its Commitments
Earlier, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister **Kazem Gharibabadi** stated that Tehran had suspended its commitments under the agreement after accusing the United States of violating its terms.
In June, Iran and the United States signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at ending hostilities and establishing lasting peace, with Pakistan acting as the mediator.
However, despite the agreement, both countries have continued to exchange military strikes, fueling renewed tensions across the Middle East.
