Three Bangladeshi nationals were killed and another seriously injured following a violent clash among co-workers in the Taman Linggi area of Port Dickson district in Malaysia’s Negeri Sembilan state. Police have arrested a 40-year-old Bangladeshi man in connection with the incident.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said officers from the Linggi police station responded to reports of a fight involving several Bangladeshis at a house at around 4:15pm on Monday (August 3). During the operation, police arrested a 40-year-old Bangladeshi suspect at the scene.
Based on preliminary investigations, officers later recovered two more bodies from the Sua Manggis Estate area in Linggi.
Police said all three victims had sustained severe injuries to various parts of their bodies. Another Bangladeshi man, who was seriously injured in the incident, was rescued and admitted to Rembau Hospital, where he remains under treatment.
Initial investigations indicate that the victims, the injured man and the suspect all worked for the same company and shared the same accommodation.
Police believe the incident unfolded across multiple locations. Investigators are continuing to establish the sequence of events and determine the motive behind the violence.
Datuk Alzafny said the suspect had no previous criminal record. He is expected to be produced before the Port Dickson Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for a remand application.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of Malaysia’s Penal Code, which relates to murder. Police said the exact motive behind the clash has yet to be established.
