Salman Khan Admits He Wants Children of His Own on ‘Koffee With Karan’

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has opened up about his desire to have children of his own, sharing a rare personal reflection during an appearance on the ninth season of filmmaker Karan Johar’s celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan.

According to a report by Variety India, Khan acknowledged that he does feel the absence of having children and would like to become a father someday. The conversation is featured in the season premiere, which is set to stream on JioHotstar on October 14.

The revelation has attracted attention from fans curious about the actor’s personal life. Khan, now in his 60s, has frequently faced questions about marriage, relationships and family, but he has generally kept those aspects of his life private.

Karan Johar’s questions spark playful exchanges

The new season’s promotional clips have also offered a glimpse of the familiar banter between Khan and Johar. In one exchange, Khan jokes that a new show called Coffee With Salman could follow the end of Koffee With Karan, prompting laughter from the filmmaker.

Johar also revisits a question he famously asked Khan during an earlier appearance: whether the actor is still a virgin. Khan responds humorously, telling him to “control” himself. The exchange has drawn renewed attention as clips from the upcoming episode circulate online.

Johar remarks that Khan seems calmer and more composed than before. The actor replies that it may be time for him to follow the advice he has given other people over the years.

A long-running show prepares to say goodbye

The episode launches the ninth and final season of Koffee With Karan. The programme debuted in 2004 and has completed eight previous seasons and 161 episodes over its 22-year run.

Johar announced that he would bring the show to a close as he looks to focus more on directing films and telling new stories. The final season is scheduled to begin streaming on JioHotstar on October 14, with Khan appearing as the opening guest.

Khan’s comments about fatherhood have added a more personal dimension to the premiere, alongside the humour and candid questions that have long defined the show.
