Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has described his private meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House as “excellent,” saying the talks reflected close cooperation between the two allies.
In a video message released after the meeting, Netanyahu said the discussions demonstrated “full partnership, bipartisan support, and a shared commitment to ensuring that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons.”
He added that the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views and discuss issues important to Israel’s security and future, but did not disclose further details.
Earlier, the White House characterized the meeting—which was attended by other senior U.S. administration officials—as “positive and productive.”
Meanwhile, Netanyahu’s visit drew protests in Washington, D.C., where demonstrators gathered to oppose his trip. Protesters cited the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant issued against the Israeli prime minister over allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity related to the conflict in Gaza. Netanyahu has rejected the allegations.
