A seminar titled “Introduction to Industrial IT Sector: Skills, Standards & Expectations” was successfully held at Metropolitan University, Sylhet on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The event was organized by the IT service provider, IT Lab Solutions Limited.
The seminar provided participating students with a clear, data-driven understanding of the skills, qualifications, and practical preparation required for the professional ICT sector. Additionally, detailed discussions were held regarding various IT sectors in the current tech-driven era, types of workplaces, and organization-based job opportunities and demands. During the event, IT Lab Solutions Limited’s internship process, skill development programs, and employment prospects were also highlighted in detail.
The presentation session was followed by an interactive Q&A session, where students received career-guided answers to their various questions.
Professor Fuad Ahmed, Head of the Department of Software Engineering at Metropolitan University, delivered the welcome address. The seminar was successfully organized with the overall cooperation of Software Engineering Lecturer Wadia Iqbal Chowdhury and the members of SWE Innovators Forum MU.
The seminar was conducted by Debojyoti Chowdhury (Senior Software Engineer & Analyst) and Md. Imrul Hasan (Senior Software Engineer) from IT Lab Solutions Limited. Overall support was provided by Mridul Kanti Bhattacharjee (Senior Web Application Developer & Training Coordinator) and Abhishek Chowdhury (Junior Developer).
Honorable faculty members of the Software Engineering Department were also present at the event.
