Iran Ready for Military Conflict with US If Talks Fail, Warns Foreign Minister

TEHRAN — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that Tehran is prepared to re-engage in direct military conflict with the United States should ongoing diplomatic talks fail to yield an acceptable outcome, Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera reported.

In an official address directed at domestic and international diplomats, Araghchi stated that any war imposed on Iran by the US and Israel would not only devastate the region but would also severely impact everyday American families.

Since the outbreak of the conflict on February 28, US energy prices and inflation rates have surged significantly. The escalation has effectively halted traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime corridor responsible for the transit of nearly one-fifth of the world’s oil and gas supply.

Taking to social media platform X, the foreign minister asserted that American citizens are being forced to bear the skyrocketing financial burdens of this conflict. To support his claim, Araghchi attached an image showing rising yields on US Treasury bonds.

Economic Impact: Beyond rising gasoline prices and stock market volatility, Iran warns that the real financial strain for Americans will emerge as interest rates on national debt and mortgages continue to climb.

Araghchi further highlighted current US economic vulnerabilities, noting that auto loan delinquency rates in the United States have already reached their highest levels in over three decades.
