Bangladesh-West Indies Test Matches Rescheduled to Start at 9:30am

The upcoming two-match Test series between Bangladesh and the West Indies will begin 30 minutes earlier than originally scheduled, with play now set to start at 9:30am local time each day.

The West Indies are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on October 18 for the series, which forms part of the ICC World Test Championship. Before the Tests, the visitors will play a three-day warm-up match against a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI from October 22 to 24 at the Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka.

The opening Test will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from October 28 to November 1. The second and final match is scheduled for November 5-9 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The dates and venues remain unchanged despite the adjustment to the starting time.

The series carries significant importance for Bangladesh’s campaign in the World Test Championship. The team will be looking to capitalise on home conditions and collect valuable points, while the West Indies will aim to improve their position in the standings.

Bangladesh entered the series after drawing their recent two-Test tour of Australia 1-1. The West Indies, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency in the current championship cycle and will be seeking stronger results on the subcontinent.
