Bangladesh secured a place in the semi-finals of the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship after defeating Nepal in a thrilling five-set match in Islamabad, Pakistan.
After dropping the opening set, Bangladesh staged an impressive comeback to claim a 3-2 victory, earning their third win of the tournament and booking a spot in the last four.
The Red and Green brigade have now played four matches, winning three:
Defeated Uzbekistan 3-2
Defeated Kazakhstan 3-2
Lost to Pakistan 0-3
Defeated Nepal 3-2
Who Will Bangladesh Face in the Semi-Finals?
Bangladesh’s semi-final opponent has not yet been confirmed. It will depend on the outcome of their final league-stage match against Sri Lanka.
If Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka: They will face Uzbekistan in the semi-finals.
If Bangladesh lose to Sri Lanka: They will take on hosts Pakistan in the last four.
The final league-stage match against Sri Lanka will therefore determine Bangladesh’s route to the championship final.
