Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has millions of admirers around the world, with fans regularly following her social media updates for glimpses of her personal life, appearances and professional projects. But the former Miss World appears to keep her own Instagram following remarkably selective.
According to the account details described in media reports, Aishwarya follows just one person on the platform: her husband, actor Abhishek Bachchan.
Abhishek, by contrast, follows hundreds of accounts. His following reportedly includes Aishwarya, his father Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, alongside other well-known personalities.
The contrast has attracted attention from fans, although an Instagram following list alone does not necessarily reveal the full nature of a celebrity’s personal relationships or social media habits.
Aishwarya made her film debut in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Iruvar in 1997 and entered Hindi cinema the same year with Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. She went on to establish an international profile through her work in Indian films and appearances at major global events.
She and Abhishek married in April 2007. The couple have a daughter, Aaradhya.
