Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that if the United States and Israel launch another war against Iran, Tehran would respond with weapons that are more powerful and destructive than those used in previous conflicts.
IRGC spokesman Brig. Gen. Hossein Mohebbi said Iran is continuing to develop new military capabilities, including improved missile warheads. Recent reporting also indicates that Iran has been accelerating missile production and working to improve the accuracy of its weapons.
According to Mohebbi, future Iranian missiles would differ significantly from those used in earlier confrontations. He said their warheads would have greater destructive power and that Iran was developing newer generations capable of striking targets with greater precision.
He also indicated that Iran is working to increase the range of its missiles while continuing regular weapons production.
The warning comes amid renewed tensions between Tehran and Washington. Recent assessments indicate that Iran’s military leadership has adopted a more offensive posture and is preparing for the possibility of another confrontation with the United States and its regional partners.
Iran has also been reorganizing its military command structure and strengthening coordination between the regular armed forces and the IRGC. Analysts say these changes reflect lessons Iran drew from recent conflicts and are intended to improve its ability to respond rapidly in a future war.
The latest threats therefore suggest that Tehran is seeking not only to rebuild its missile and drone capabilities but also to strengthen deterrence by signaling that any future attack could trigger a more intense response.
At the same time, such statements should be viewed as official Iranian military messaging and a warning of intended capability, rather than independent confirmation that a specific new weapon has already been deployed.
