Huma Qureshi defends Kiara Advani amid criticism over intimate scenes in Toxic

Actor Huma Qureshi has spoken out in support of Kiara Advani following online criticism over the actress’s intimate scenes with Yash in the recently released song Tabahi from the upcoming film Toxic.

The song sparked widespread debate on social media, with some users arguing that Kiara, who is married and recently became a mother, should not have performed such scenes. However, similar criticism has not been directed at Yash, who is also married and a father.

Addressing the backlash in a recent interview, Huma described the criticism as an example of double standards and misogyny. She said the comments reflected an “unhealthy and toxic mindset” and expressed confidence that the film’s cast and director would ultimately be judged by their work rather than online reactions.

According to Huma, there is little value in responding to internet trolls, as people’s attitudes cannot be changed through arguments. She added that audiences would form their own opinions once the film is released.

The actor also noted that while the real world is often more balanced, online platforms can amplify negativity and personal attacks, making constructive discussion difficult.

The controversy has also extended to Kiara’s husband, actor Sidharth Malhotra, whose social media accounts have reportedly been flooded with comments about his wife’s performance and personal life.

Despite the ongoing criticism, the makers and cast of Toxic appear confident that the film itself will provide the strongest response once it reaches audiences.
