ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The Bangladesh Association of South Jersey (BASJ) has officially unveiled the team jerseys for its highly anticipated inaugural cricket tournament. The unveiling ceremony took place on Sunday (May 3) night at the local Bangladesh Community Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off next Sunday, May 10, at 9:00 AM local time at Bader Field, located at 545 North Albany Avenue. Marking a first for the organization, the competition will feature eight participating teams vying for the championship.

According to the organizers, the core objective of the tournament extends beyond sports; it aims to foster harmony, build camaraderie, and strengthen community ties across diverse groups through the spirit of cricket. Players and team officials from the participating franchises were in attendance during Sunday’s launch event.
Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Sr. is slated to attend the tournament as the chief guest and will personally hand over the awards to the winning team.
BASJ leadership—including President Jahirul Islam Babul, General Secretary Zakirul Islam Khoka, and Trustee Board President Abdur Rafique—alongside Tournament Committee Convener Shah Mahmud and Member Secretary Rafiqul Islam, have extended an open invitation to all sports enthusiasts and community members to join the festivities and support the local teams.
