The film Bonolota Express, directed by Tanim Noor, is making a strong impact at the box office following its release in the United States and Canada. With enthusiastic audience response, the film has been breaking records and gaining momentum.
Within just two weeks, it surpassed the total North American earnings of *Hawa*, which previously held the record for the highest-grossing Bangladeshi film in the region.
Setting a new milestone, *Bonolota Express* has now become the first Bangladeshi film to earn over $400,000 in North America. According to Mohammad Oliullah Sajib, President of international distributor Swapna Scarecrow, the film earned $401,000 within its first 17 days of release.
The film’s success has continued into its third week, adding approximately $40,000 more in earnings. It is currently being screened in 21 theatres across North America.
Produced by Buriganga Talkies and co-produced by Hoichoi Productions, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Intekhaba Dinar, Zakia Bari Momo, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Sabila Nur, Shariful Razz, Shyamal Mawla, Arefin Jilani, Labonno Chowdhury, and Masha, among others.
