America’s “Doomsday Plane” Takes Flight Hours Before Trump’s Iran Ultimatum Deadline — And The World Is Watching

One of America’s most feared and secretive military aircraft — the Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, known as the “Doomsday Plane” — was tracked circling Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska on Monday, just hours before President Donald Trump’s deadline for Iran expires.

The aircraft took off at 10:17 AM EST and completed at least six orbits above the base, home to the headquarters of the US Strategic Command, the nerve centre of America’s nuclear arsenal. Flight trackers who routinely monitor the plane during moments of global tension noted an almost identical pattern just days before the US joined Israel’s bombing
campaign against Iran’s nuclear facilities last year.

Trump issued a chilling ultimatum from the White House on Monday, warning that Iran must open the Strait of Hormuz and accept his peace deal by Tuesday — or face strikes on bridges, power plants, and critical infrastructure across the Islamic Republic.

“The entire country can be taken out in one night — and that night might be tomorrow night,” the President told reporters.

The E-4B Nightwatch serves as an airborne command centre for the President, the Secretary of Defence, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Hardened against nuclear blasts, electromagnetic pulses, cyberattacks, and thermal radiation, it is designed to keep the US government functioning even during a full-scale nuclear exchange. With 67 satellite dishes and antennas, it can communicate with anyone, anywhere on the planet.

The US operates a fleet of four such aircraft, which fly year-round to maintain military readiness — but their appearance in the skies during a geopolitical crisis never fails to send a signal.
