200 Laboratory Alumni Register for OLSA North America Family Picnic in New York on June 20

The North America chapter of the Old Laboratory Students’ Association (OLsA), the alumni organization of Dhaka Government Laboratory High School, will host its annual Family Picnic on Saturday, June 20, at  Belmont Lake State Park in New York. The day-long gathering will bring together former students and their families from cities across the
United States and Canada.

According to the organizers, nearly 200 Laboratory alumni and their family members have already registered to participate in the event. The picnic will feature opportunities for old friends to reconnect, younger  generations to build new relationships, and families to enjoy a variety of recreational activities, cultural performances, games, and traditional food.

OLsA North America leaders said that nearly 1,000 Laboratory alumni currently reside in different cities across North America. The organization regularly arranges programs to strengthen communication, cooperation, and community engagement among its members, and this family picnic is part of that ongoing effort.

The “Old Laboratorians Association“ Association (OLsA) serves as the official alumni organization of Dhaka Government Laboratory High School. For decades, it has organized reunions, homecoming events, and networking activities to foster lifelong connections among former students. OLsA North America is an officially recognized chapter of the parent organization.
Dhaka Government Laboratory High School is widely recognized as one of Bangladesh’s leading educational institutions, with a long-standing tradition of excellence in academics, sports, and cultural activities.  ts students also made significant contributions during Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971. Over the years, thousands of its graduates have distinguished themselves through their achievements, professionalism, and service both in Bangladesh and around the world.

The organizers believe that this year’s family picnic will be more than a joyful reunion. They say it will celebrate the shared heritage of the Laboratory alumni community, strengthen cultural and personal ties among Bangladeshi immigrants in North America, and contribute to building a more united, vibrant, and inspiring Bangladeshi community.
