Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has presented the framework agreement signed with Lebanon in Washington as a historic political and security achievement for the people of Israel. Netanyahu explained that Israel will be able to sustain its occupation until all verifiable conditions outlined across the agreement’s 14 clauses are met. Crucially, he noted that these obligations are demanded solely from the Lebanese government, rather than being joint requirements imposed on both Israel and Lebanon.
