Bangladesh Swept in T20I Series Against Australia at Home

CHATTOGRAM — Bangladesh’s cricket team has been whitewashed in the three-match T20 International series against Australia. The Tigers suffered a 7-wicket defeat in the final match today, primarily due to another dismal batting display.

The hosts struggled throughout the series, failing to secure a single victory. In the series opener, Bangladesh was bundled out for 131, resulting in a 4-wicket loss. The second match saw a closer contest, but the Tigers fell just 7 runs short while chasing a target of 197, conceding the series with a game to spare.

Batting Collapse in Finale
Tasked with avoiding a clean sweep in today’s finale in Chattogram, the Bangladesh batting lineup collapsed once again. The hosts managed only 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Dominant Australian Chase
Chasing a modest target of 110, Australia began aggressively. Opener Josh Inglis set the tone with a quick-fire 17 off 16 balls before falling after a 54-run opening stand.

Captain Mitchell Marsh then took charge, anchoring the chase with a blistering 60 off just 28 balls, including seven fours and four sixes. Following Marsh’s dismissal at 88, Cooper Connolly contributed 15 off 13 balls. Tim David finished the match in style, striking three consecutive boundaries to seal the win with 54 balls to spare.
