The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza has reported that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,938 as a result of Israel’s ongoing military offensive. Since the war began on October 7, 2023, a total of 172,919 people have been injured.
According to a report by Al Jazeera published on May 30, the ministry’s latest update states that seven bodies were brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours. Of these, six people were killed in recent Israeli attacks, while one person died from injuries sustained earlier while receiving medical treatment. During the same period, 25 more injured individuals were admitted to hospitals.
The ministry also stated that since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11 last year, Israeli attacks have killed 929 Palestinians and injured 2,811 others.
In addition, rescue teams have continued searching previously inaccessible areas affected by the ongoing military operations and destruction. As a result, 781 bodies have been recovered during this period.
