Hollywood in a Week of Headlines: From Taylor Swift’s Wedding Buzz to Trump Jr.’s Marriage, Deaths, and Breakups

Hollywood never sleeps, and this week proved it once again — with a whirlwind of weddings, heartbreak, scandals, deaths, and celebrity surprises dominating entertainment headlines.

At the center of America’s entertainment conversation is global pop superstar Taylor Swift. The music icon and NFL star Travis Kelce are reportedly preparing to marry on July 3 in New York City. Known for guarding her private life carefully, Swift has kept wedding details
tightly under wraps, fueling intense speculation across social media and entertainment circles about the guest list and venue. The couple was recently spotted walking hand in hand into Sartiano’s, an upscale Italian restaurant inside New York’s Mercer Hotel in SoHo. Even Prince William has reportedly hinted that he would welcome an invitation. Meanwhile, one unnamed guest has already sparked drama, allegedly angered over what insiders describe as an “extremely awkward” wedding-related request.

Another high-profile wedding also made headlines this week. Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump, has officially married Bettina Anderson. The couple is celebrating with a private Memorial Day weekend ceremony on an exclusive island in the Bahamas. Notably absent is the president himself, who publicly confirmed he would not attend, citing urgent national responsibilities.

Romance rumors are also swirling around Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles. Reports suggest the couple is planning a winter wedding, following recent sightings of the two shopping together in Rome.

But the week also brought heartbreaking losses.

Daniel Coleman, better known to millions of children as the star of the popular YouTube channel “Danny Go,” announced the death of his 14-year-old son Isaac after a long battle with facial cancer. Isaac had been diagnosed in December 2025, and Coleman shared an emotional message describing his son’s final days.

The music world also mourned the loss of legendary rapper Rob Base, who died at age 59. Best known for the classic hit “It Takes Two,” Rob Base played a defining role in bringing hip-hop into mainstream American culture.

Meanwhile, fans of 30 Rock were saddened by news that actor Grizz Chapman has died at age 52.

Comedian Pete Davidson also found himself in fresh controversy. His former partner Elsie Hewitt claimed she is raising their child alone, prompting Davidson’s representatives to dismiss the allegation as “confusing and inaccurate.”

In another surprising development, pop icon Britney Spears made headlines after newly revealed details from a March arrest showed she allegedly told police that her mother once killed a 12-year-old boy while driving drunk. Spears later pleaded guilty in May to a reduced reckless-driving charge.

Actor Tom Hardy is reportedly facing professional fallout after being dropped from MobLand, despite the show’s success. Sources claim tensions on set escalated after an unnamed A-list co-star became frustrated with Hardy’s behavior.

Reality TV also had its share of drama. 90 Day Fiancé stars Patrick Mendes and Thaís Ramone are reportedly divorcing, with Mendes seeking sole custody of their child.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were seen together in Los ngeles, though sources insist the meeting was purely about co-parenting and not a romantic reunion.

On a lighter note, Scarlett Johansson revealed that despite earning $43
million in 2025, her home life still feels surprisingly “modest.”

And at the Cannes Film Festival, the red carpet dazzled with extraordinary jewelry and fashion — from Demi Moore’s diamond necklace to Colman Domingo’s statement earrings — proving once again that in Hollywood, style remains a headline of its own.

This week in Hollywood was a vivid collage of love and loss, scandal and celebration, heartbreak and glamour — a reminder that sometimes real life in entertainment feels even more dramatic than the movies.
