The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) arrived at the scene on Brighton 7th Street, situated between Ocean View Avenue and Brighton 8th Street, at approximately 10:50 a.m. following a distress call.
The juvenile, whose age and identity have not been disclosed by authorities, was immediately transported to a local hospital. While the child’s current medical status remains unknown, officials confirmed that the other occupant of the apartment was pronounced dead at the scene.
